Q. What is your CAPTAC (hat clips) made out of?

Our hat clips are made out of one single piece of Kydex®.

 

Q. What is your M-BLOX (MOLLE clips) made out of?

Our MOLLE clips are made out of one single piece of Kydex®.

 

Q. What is Kydex®, and why do you use this material?

Kydex® is a line of thermoplastic made of acrylic-polyvinyl chloride, and is heavily used in the military and aircraft industry for its rigidness and toughness. Kydex® is scratch resistant with a Rockwell "R" hardness of 90, waterproof, has low friction, and will not shrink, warp, or stretch under normal circumstances. These traits not only lend themselves to make a durable product, but also allows us to maintain durability within our imaging process.

 

Q. What kind of print do you use on your products, and how durable is it?

Our proprietary imaging process infuses our designs into the Kydex® surface. In fact, we're the only ones in the World who can print razor sharp, high definition images on even the smallest of Kydex® surface area while maintaining the richness of the color. This process is not only durable, but long lasting. If the Kydex can handle it, so can the image. We guarantee it!


Q. Will the Kydex® put wear and tear on my hat?

No. The side of the Kydex® that touches the hat has a proprietary texture and will not damage your hats material.

 

Q. Will CAPTAC’s fit my hat?

Yes. Our PATENTED design is manufactured to fit a variety of baseball caps, trucker hats, visors, and the like; as well as their corresponding thicknesses and sizes. It’s basically a one size fits all.

 

Q. Will the retention ever wear out on my clips?

This is extremely unlikely. However, if this were to happen, please notify us and we can send you a video showing how to reapply the retention to the Kydex®, or send the clip back and we can reapply it for you at no charge.


Q. How do I clean my CAPTAC/M-BLOX?

Mild detergents, and a soft cloth or sponge with water works best. After cleaning wipe of with a dry towel and allow excess water to air dry before continued use. *avoid harsh solvents


Q. Do you take custom orders, or design work?

Yes and yes! In fact, this is a huge part of our business and services. Please visit our Custom Orders page to design your own products. It is less expensive then you think.

 

Q. Where are your products made?

All of our products are proudly designed, printed and manufactured in the United States of America as well as all of the components and tooling used in the process. We do all of the manufacturing of our products in house, so you know and we know that you are getting a quality product every time. 


Q. Does CAPTAC have a warranty?

Yes, CAPTAC products have a lifetime unlimited warranty. If you have any problems just send it back and we will repair it or replace it at no cost.

Q. Do you have a lead time?

Our products are hand-crafted and made to order. Current lead time on shipments are dictated by current order volumes and are 3 weeks after the order is placed and 4 to 5 weeks for custom orders at this time.


Q. What is your shipping method?

We currently use the Unites States Post Office (USPS) for all regular shipments. Within the checkout, you have many USPS options available to you; simply choose one that fits your needs. If you require a different method, please contact us and we will try to accommodate you.


Q. When do your products ship out?

We ship our products every day of the business work week Monday through Friday, minus holidays. We DO NOT ship on Sunday or Saturday.


Q. Do you ship internationally?

Yes we do. International shipment will be available during checkout. 


Q. Can I cancel my order before it ships?

Yes. You must notify us via phone, email, or Contact Us form.

 

Q. Can I change my order before it ships?

Yes. Depending on the change, there may be a small delay in shipment. We strive to get your order out fast, so if you need to make a change, do so quickly. Once your order ships there is nothing we can do to change what you ordered.
